Turtles
Sydney has at least one resident freshwater turtle the Eastern Snake-necked Turtle or Long-necked Tortoise, Chelodina longicollis. Three marine turtles, the Green Turtle, Chelonia mydas, Loggerhead Turtle, Caretta caretta, and Leatherback or Luth Turtle, Dermochelys coriacea are occasional visitors to the Harbour.
