The Landscape of Blue Mountains Rock-Art: Wollemi National Park Phase 1
The team
The Landscape of Blue Mountain Rock-Art project involves many people of from different backgrounds. The core of our team consists of Paul Taçon (Australian Museum Principal Research Scientist in Anthropology), Wayne Brennan (consultant archaeologist based at Blackheath), Shaun Hooper (Blue Mountains Aboriginal Community), Dave Pross (Chairman of the Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council) and Evan Gallard (Darug Custodial Aboriginal Corporation). Many other members of the local Aboriginal communities, New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service staff, consultants, conservationists, archaeologists and students from four universities participate. An important component of the project involves Aboriginal people and archaeologists working together at every stage as partners in research.
