Frogs of Sydney Harbour

You can find out about the Green and Golden Bell Frog, the Red-crowned Toadlet and the Striped Marsh Frog. These species are representative of the diversity of Sydney's frog fauna.


Introduction
Eighteen amphibian species once inhabited the sandstone gullies and ridges along the middle to lower reaches of Sydney Harbour.

Tree Frogs
Tree frogs can vary greatly in both form and behaviour. Two Sydney residents, the Green Tree Frog and Green and Golden Bell Frog are good examples of this diversity.

Ground Frogs
Ground frogs are a large group of terrestrial frogs. There are nine species of ground frog recorded from the Harbour region.
